Crew Frivolous
We left Mission Beach and our 82cape crew yesterday, it was quite emotional, but we managed it do it quickly and headed of about 9 ish which as Jen said was a record for us .
We have made no decision other than we have to be in Brisbane by the 23rd. We made it to Ary last night which isn't very far but we did stop at Wallaman Falls and it turned out to be quite a way, out of our way but well worth the drive . The height of the falls is 268 metres and I'm told its the biggest free falling waterfall in the southern hemisphere. I was amazed at how big Townsville was everyone I've spoken to has always said there was nothing there !!!
We also had a look at the original pub with no beer in Ingham, took a couple of photos, played a game of pool and had 1 drink. It's amazing how many sugar cane crops there are with their trains and mills in most towns it's a life we really know nothing about.
Up early again today and on the road. First stop was Bowen, thought it would be a small town but it's huge, has a beautiful pier and beach.
Next was Proserpine have been to this area before so didn't stop. Next big town was Mackay, not really a town it's a city huge did a couple of blockies trying to find our way out !!.
Again all these places are surrounded by cane fields. Tonight we have come across a little gem not sure I should share I might not be able to get in, its a little place called Flaggy Rock $5.00 for the night and it lovely.
