Crew Frivolous
The days plan was to leave the campers at Canal Creek and venture back down the Old Telegraph Track to visit Fruit Bat Falls, Elliot Falls and Twin Falls.
The Landcruiser is much better to drive without the Turtle on its back.
Fruit Bat falls is absolutely magnificent, pristine water flowing over the falls in a beautiful setting and the temperature, it's just not Victoria. We spent a few hours swimming below the falls and generally enjoying ourselves.
On to Elliot falls and Twin Falls for lunch, these falls were just as beautiful so we had to enjoy the water for a few more hours (see the pics).
After that we went back to the camp site. Martin, Marcus and myself (Col) took the opportunity to see what the track was like after Canal Creek while we were travelling light. We went as far as Sam's Creek and then returned to base. Martin came up with a magnificent idea, we complete the OTT without the campers, this pleased me no end.
