I woke up today and did some grocery shopping - hoping that what I bought will hold me over until the end (with some nights eating out).
Then I went to the British Museum. This place is overwhelming. I have been there before but only for the lectures. All of the rooms were really crowded. I was overwhelmed with the sheer quantity of stuff. Also, everything was in cases, except for statues. Even paintings (although there weren't that many - I'm assuming because they are all at the National Gallery). It was a strange set up. i did get to see some pretty cool stuff, like the Rosetta Stone. When I was in a gift shop on my way out I noticed a t-shirt with "The Wave" by Hokusai on it. I realized that that must mean that it was in the British Museum (strange, I assumed it was in Japan). So I turned myself around and went and found it. It was, of course, actually rather small. Maybe 11" x 13". It was still pretty cool to see it and I'm glad that I noticed the t-shirt that let me to go find it (because it is not easy to get to).
Then I came back to the flat where I spent the evening gathering pictures for my architecture class, while watching the X-Factor finals (Matt is still on!!!). I'm basically resigned to the fact that I am screwed with this test. I'm going to study but in the end there will be some serious guesswork on my part. Hopefully I did really well on last week's essay (worth 50% of the final grade), so I can have a little wiggle room on the test. I should really not worry this much because the grade doesn't even go into my gpa.
