Today was more exciting than yesterday, although unfortunately I'm not any better. But at the same time I'm not any worse.
After sleeping in, showering and having a snack I left to go meet Meaghan at Harrod's. Harrod's is this very large and fancy department store. It has 7 levels, about 10 full sized restaurants, a massive area with food halls, a permanent christmas section and sections for basically any household item you could possibly need. It is expensive, not somewhere I would ever go for real shopping, but it's great to explore and they have a lovely gift section.
It was so nice to see Meaghan. I haven't seen her since school and it's just so nice to be able to reconnect in another country.
We got afternoon tea at the terrace bar. It was fabulous. Usually it's expensive at £24 per person so our plan was to each order one of the light teas at £12/person and share. Our waitress however told us we could order one full tea and just an extra pot instead of two full services. So that's what we did. We had a lovely array of crustless sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream (basically glorified butter) and a variety of pastries. This was all complimented by our four berry tea. It was all so elegant and delicious. I'm definitely going to take Stacy there next week (an probably Ellie too). It was so fancy. They put your napkin on your lap for you, poured your tea whenever your cup wasn't quite full and refilled our tea pots with fresh tea, at no extra charge. At the end of our splendid meal we only had to pay £15/person including tip. That is by far the cheapest quality tea you will find in this city.
Now I really want to make some scones and get some more of that fabulous tea (I think I drank a pot and a half all on my own).
After tea we went to the gift sections where I got myself some adorable little teddy bears and maybe some gifts for some people.
Then I made my way back to the flat and hung out with my flatmates. Got to here about Ellie's awesome day at work - she got to go with a reporter from her company to the premier of Charlie St. Cloud (I don't remember what the full name is) and got some fabulous pictures of Zac Efron. We're really hoping she can get some job for the Harry Potter premier in November. Even if she doesn't were going.
Anyway bedtime for the sicko. Sweet dreams.
