Another splendid day today. Got to sleep in for the first time, which was very nice. I'm adjusted to the time change but I am still exhausted by the end of every day.
Dawn, Ellie and I went to Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill. It was like the Public Market on crack. It was huge!!!! It's basically a flea market, farmers market, artisans and shops combined. There are many rows and streets intersecting, often with shops, then tents in front of them on the road. The road seemed to be more or less closed. Saw a few vehicles but they were the garbage disposal service and some of the shopkeepers cars. You can find basically anything you could need or want at Portobello Market. It is definitely a place I will need to frequent during my time here. Still need to go to Borough and Camden Markets to compare them.
Afterwards we went to another, larger, grocery store: Waitrose. I was able to find chorizo there, as well as some great fresh fruit. It's not that long of a walk from our flats either.
As soon as we returned from shopping it was time to go meet everyone to go out to dinner and drinks for Danielle's 20th birthday. We had a group of about 11 (which doesn't draw too much attention or anything). After getting of course a little bit, we finally made our way to this fish and chips place. It was pretty good and very cheap. At our table it came to £5/person including tip. It was good but a lot of grease and fat.
Once we finished we walked around soho looking for pubs/bars to go to. Having such a large group presented a problem since most places were packed. After wandering, looking at several, going into one to find it full, Danielle decided on a place. At this point I was tired and wanted a quieter atmosphere. Ellie, Dawn and I left and went to the Horse
