Long long day.
When I got to work my boss starting telling me about another lecture. This one happening today. I didn't know it was this week and hadn't been planing on working all day but oh well.
Work was pretty good. I had a break from my usual to prepare tea and biscuits for a meeting. It was a nice change.
After the meeting, which ran late, we made our way to the British Museum for the lecture. NEVER take the central line during rush hour. I have felt less crowded at DMB concerts than I felt on that train.
The lecture tonight was about some tunnel near Jerusalem used for irrigation. It was interesting but I kept nodding off. Something about that room makes me sleepy every time. Once the lecture was over we set out snacks an poured drinks. Today wasn't as bad as last time because Yeston (not sure on the spelling, it's welsh) was helping too. He is another student working at the PEF a bit. He, like me, doesn't know much about this subject or know the people who attend these lectures so we entertained each other. It was nice to finally have a lengthy conversation with a British student. I've only talked to British adults (yes I realise I am one but I still use it to mean non-students) and American students. It was a welcome change.
Then we walked home and I finally got some real food in my stomach.
Videochatted with Lauren for awhile. It was great, I mean obviously. I can't wait to see her apartment and for her to figure out when she's going to study in London so I can plan my visit back here in the next couple years.
I get to sleep in a bit tomorrow then going to the Frieze Art Fair in Regent's Park for class (and fun).
