Little Kirsty Ventures to Pastures New
Yeey- it's Thursday- the second goal I've been waiting to reach since I got back from Vietnam. First of all it was to make it until last Friday cause Aman and I were going out for a posh meal and then twas to make it until today cause my classes are all over and Artina's taking us out to Pizza Hut! I always set goals to get myself through the time but these days I've been setting them every week or so!
And only one week to go- can't believe it! About time too. But oh my, I just had to end it in style. Over the past 6 months I have had pretty much not even a suggestion of an illness or "Connective Tissue disease" related problem. But in my final week, I wake up and think- "What is this itchy rash all over one side of me?" I automatically assumed it was bed bugs since I have now become accustomed to being no 1 on their menu for the evening. But as I delved into a story to Aman about how I couldn't participate in a "Swimathon" with my brownie group due to having 'Shingles' at the time- it struck me- DOH! So on the phone to Dr Mummy Duncan and she agreed that it most probably was the dreaded lurgy, back to haunt me again. So then a quick call to Penelope, who comes to save the day as always and stops what she is doing with her daughter, to pick me up and zoom me to Doctor Ted just before he closes his clinic at 9.30pm. So! I pretty much diagnosed myself to him but he agreed, then asked about my general health, which I thought was fine. He then gave me a general checkup. And what does he happen to notice is residing in my throat? Puss, Ladies and Gentlemen, yes, puss balls, and redness in the region of my tonsils and glands. Woo hoo, clap for Kirsty. 7 days to go and she comes down with a rejected itchy skin blistering deformation and a puss-y throat. I had to put the '-' in there due to the website thinking that I am using a derogatory term.
So, over the past 3 months, we've all been dreaming about our final weekend together. Rented a chalet on the beach, stocked up on way too much booze, intending to top up on the tan for the boyfriend coming out. But guess what Kirsty won't be doing now that she's on antibiotics and has become photosensitive! Score! A sober milk bottle with a scabby tummy for my Birthday!
But s'all good. Georgie and I have mastered a plan. Asian Red bull is now on the cards. I will take regular naps so that I will get my rest and it'll be the perfect way to keep everyone going through the night with my bursts of energy while I am awake. So it's sorted. Tis actually all quite ironically amusing. But I've only got one week to go- so I'm not complaining! Bring on next Thurs is all I'm gona say!
