Little Kirsty Ventures to Pastures New
This week is going sooo slowly!! Hate it when time just stops like this- tis cause I'm all excited about Mammy and Gran arriving on Friday- so can't wait! Apart from the fact I'll get a half decent meal, also can't wait to show them around KK and introduce them to everyone.
Taught the kids to make shortbread yesterday, was a bit stressful but at least they managed to make something- they all asked me to taste each batch and due to the severe stuffage of chewy biscuits, I skipped lunch. The 3A boys were hilarious, asking if their batch of biscuits was taking me to heaven yet and are keen to download some of their songs onto my ipod and get some of my tracks for their mp3 players- said I'd look into it for them.
Last night, I began tidying the complete tip that was my half of the room. Embarrassing how much crap was kicking about- made me realize that we really have made our room our home recently. Finally stuck my photos up on the wall, since I have showed all of my classes them by now. Gona do a mass clean on Thurs in preparation for Mum's inspection.
Today I planned fun sports for the kids but was an absolute nightmare this morning cause I made the mistake of using the school hall again so was interrupted by every other class and couldn't even hear myself speak- got so stressed out and now I understand how easy it is for a class to bring a teacher to tears- they're such brats.
I approached Vera to complain about the little Darlings and was severely cheered up by her invite to help with the Drama competition tomorrow and attend the dress rehearsal tonight. So that means I can get away tomorrow to help out and then on Friday, I'm holding a Ceilidh with my classes- need to find a venue though- the hall just won't do.
Catherine's asked me to teach the Deaf kids to make Pasta Bake, which will be rocking cause I'm sure we'll get to eat some at the end and the deaf children are soo much more fun to teach- lack of vocals needed on my part- therefore resulting in no hoarse voices.
Ritieho, off for luncheon.
