On the 27th we left Weipa at 9.00am. The big part of our adventure was about to begin, the start of the Old Telegraph Track.
We stopped for photos at Wenlock River and Morton Telegraph Station. We decided to have a short driving day so pulled up to camp at Bramwell Station. This was a lovely spot and could even buy a beer at happy hour.
After lunch we decided to go and have a look at Palm Creek. We met a few young kids from Queensland who were egging Martin on. It finally got too much for him and he had to do the steep descent. Martin and his co-pilot Joe showed the kids a thing to and had no problems doing it. The other vehicles decided not to do it and will take the bypass.
Back to the camping ground for a few drinks and a beautiful fire, it was a lovely night.
