Crew Frivolous
Packing up again to move further south, Marcou dust is becoming enjoyable.
Not too far down the road we stopped for an older couple (older than us-really old) who had lost the roof rack from their car. We placed the rack back on the car and he assured us he didn't want any further assistance.
On again to rescue the next breakdown victims. Alas we came across a couple of indigenous folk who had been broken down for the last two hours with no assistance from the passing traffic. After a little diagnostics Joe pulled out his wire strippers, a lug and crimpers, and with a jump start they were on their way once again.
Coen meant mobile service again, the women did not speak for near an hour unless it was on the phone. Next stop Haan Roadhouse for a wee stop and then onto Laura Quinkan Hotel for steak sangers and a beer for lunch.
As the day was winding down the motivation for driving long distances had disappeared, 40 km we stopped and had a beer at Lakeland Hotel.
Finally after another 30 km we made it to Palmer River Roadhouse to settle in for a nice quiet night with the gentle hum of the Roadhouse generator beside us.
