We wanted a nice chilled out day today to recover from our travels. Chilling out? How is that possible in London? Well we made it happen. Started off with a sleep in then eventually we made it out of the house by 11:00. We took the tube to Chancery Lane station to get a quote for Calvin's camera at the other Sendeans office so that he could get it sorted with travel insurance. Final report: irreparable and better to be replaced. After that we wandered through the nearby streets where there were some food markets, The Leather Lane Markets, and Calvin got some pad thai. After going into a few shops we then went to Costa so Kate could get a wrap. We sat in there for quite a while as it was pouring with rain outside!! Later on Calvin got a box of donuts from Crosstown Donuts: Creme brûlée, banana and salted caramel, raspberry jam, kiwi and apple, beetroot sourdough with lemon thyme glaze, and lamington. Once we caught the tube back to the house, we had a few tasters of the donuts before relaxing a bit more. When our friend Vicki got home we did lots of chatting then ordered Pho delivery via Deliveroo, which we ate while chilling on the couch watching TV and a terrible movie called 'Welcome to Me' (and then of course eating more donuts!).
