Soongies' Great Adventure
This morning was a relaxing morning. John went to a rugby match with his friends that had been in the calendar for ages. Calvin went for a run while Kate and Linda played bananagrams. We then all made a delicious pintxos lunch full of zucchini, smoked salmon, olives, anchovies, cherry tomatoes and cheese on little pieces of toasted bread. After downing it all, Linda drove us to the quaint town of Marlow. After scoring an ideal car parking spot, we went for a nice stroll along the river and then ended up at 'Burgers' for afternoon tea. Along with a hot drink each, Kate got apple pie, Calvin got carrot cake and Linda got chocolate cake. All were soooo delicious! After consuming so much cake, we thought we'd better go for another little walk so we walked up High Street of Marlow which was lovely. Once back home, Linda cooked a delicious fish pie with vegetables and after dinner the three of us went to Carters Steam Fair - believed to be one of the largest travelling vintage fairs in the world. There were steam trains which powered most of the rides and attractions and there were lots of vintage games! It was fun to wander around and take in the atmosphere! Once back home, Linda taught us how to play the card game Cribbage. She taught us so well that she lost the game! We're hooked now, we even managed to inherit a crib board from them!
