After getting packed up and ready for our departure (including making a sandwich for us to eat at the airport), we then played a game of Crib while Linda made a delicious omelette for lunch. John arrived home from his rugby trip just in time for lunch too. Linda and John very generously drove us to Gatwick airport and we said our sad goodbyes. Whilst waiting in line to check in, we ate our sandwiches! They didn't last too long! After doing the usual waiting around at the airport for a few hours, we eventually got to board our Norwegian airline flight to New York! The flight took about 6 hours, 45 minutes. It was a nice flight with movies and we were very glad we paid a bit extra so that food was included! We arrived in New York at about 7:15pm local time (12:15am England time). Then it was a massive queue to get through immigration - we reckon we were waiting in line for about 75 minutes! Once we got to the counter, it was really quick and there were no issues at all. And then we went through customs (another queue but pretty quick), picked up our luggage from the carousel and made our way to the taxi queue. We probably waited about 30 mins in this queue! Finally we got a taxi and 45 mins later, we arrived at our Airbnb apartment in Brooklyn. Our host's friend let us in and quickly showed us around but we were so ready for bed. As we were drifting off to sleep, the radiator in the bedroom started spitting and hissing. We thought it was going to explode! Calvin tried to see if anything could be done but then it went quiet again so we drifted off to sleep. Later on in the night it started hissing again!
