Woke around 830am after a really good deep sleep, as there was no noise overnight at all. Nick made everyone pancakes for breakfast and we had a very slow start to the day. Eventually I headed into Portland with Katharine to do some chores. We started at the tourist information centre and found a free supply of drinking water, and then we headed into town and found an amenities block offering free showers. The shower itself was fairly grotty but you could lean over it without getting in so Katharine and I just washed our hair - heaven! We then hit the launderette and did three loads of washing. Katharine did some homework while we were waiting so at least our time was fairly productive. On the way home we called in to Safeways (which is Wollies here!) and picked up some supplies - in total it had taken us three hours to get the chores done. By the time we got back Nick had the fire going and had spent the afternoon chatting to the neighbours. We went for a walk through the bush Koala spotting but again couldn't see any. Nick cooked sausages and hash browns on the fire pit hot plate and it tasted fantastic. The three smaller ones were black from head to toe from 2 days of playing with the fire and so we put the generator on and slowly showered them all and washed their hair. I had just got them into bed when Nick and Katharine were shown a koala by some fellow campers. We got everyone back up again and went off in search, finding him just as it was getting dark. A great way to end the evening so Nick and I decided to go to bed too. I had the first shower and then Nick hopped in but half way through we ran out of water, even though our meter said there was a third of a tank left - bloody Jayco!
