Woke up this morning to lots of noise in the camp and found we had a few more neighbours then when we went to bed! We cranked up the generator and had coffee and before long all the old timers of the camp had come out to suss out the new arrivals!! I think we sit in the 'old timer' camp as we have been made privy to a secret stash of toilet paper for the weekend!! After breakfast, Nick spent the morning doing schoolwork with the kids (we missed too many days last week to have the weekend off - luckily non of them know what day it is!!) while I sat outside and did some more paid work. We had lunch and then got ready to go out for a walk but nearly changed our minds as people were arriving in a continuous flow and we thought we would loose our car spot. Clarky, our immediate neighbour promised to block our spot with his electric wheelchair and four young squatters who asked to set their tent up under our queen flip out bed promised to keep an eye on things. We couldn't ask the teenagers camped under the other flip out bed to keep an eye out as they were so parked in they couldn't see a thing! We drove out of the camp and couldn't believe the amount of people who had managed to squeeze onto the smallest piece of ground - there were campers everywhere! We called in to Beach Forest to look for water but didn't find any so headed to Triplet Falls for a beautiful walk through a Mountain Ash forest to a great waterfall. It took us an hour all up to do the round trip and then we headed home again. The mist was low over the cape driving home and the kids kept sticking their hands out the window trying to touch the clouds. By the time we got home they were well and truly over excited and argumentative. Within an hour both Jonny and Katharine had been sent to bed for the rest of the day! Nick cooked dinner and I carried on working and by 11pm I was all finished - back to holiday mode tomorrow!
