Woke up around 830am having had a fantastic nights sleep. No city noise at all, only the sound of the waves and the rain, which must have been quite heavy as there were big puddles around the campsite. We had a very slow breakfast today and by the time we had finished and cleared up the sun was out and shining. We were just about to start school when a Britz van went by and we spotted George and Doris from Germany who we met in Narrawong. We had a quick catch up promising to meet later this evening and Doris gave the kids a bag of water balloons. Next thing the camp was covered in small bits of coloured plastic! We managed a couple of hours of work and then had lunch before heading out in the car to explore. We drove to Foster first, the largest town nearest the campsite and the drive was stunning - the ocean on one side and green rolling hills on the other. Foster was a beautiful little place nestled amongst the hills with some great parks, golf club and public swimming pool. The tourist information centre showed us a tap in the park where we could fill up with as much drinking water as we needed, so while Nick did a quick top up, I logged onto the internet and caught up with the blog! We did a quick grocery shop and then headed towards home, checking out Fish Creek on the way. This is a smaller town with a few cafes but it also has drinking water available at the park. Next stop was Sandy Point where we drove up to Ned's Lookout giving views of an awesome swimming/surfing beach that goes for miles. A swim was tempting but it was getting late so we headed home instead and had time for a quick coffee and dinner before George and Doris arrived for a drink. While we were sitting outside the wombats appeared so we took a few photos and went for a walk to find some more. By 8pm it was pitch black so I put the kids to bed and washed up and eventually everyone called it a night as it had started to spit. It doesn't matter here if we have our generator running a bit later at night for showers as no one can here it, so quick shower and then bed to watch The Killing Season 2 - brilliant!
