June and Mick's Retirement Trip
Today is Australia Day and it is a holiday. Mick and I walked (funny how we didn't see anybody else walking!!) to the shop to buy some sun screen and then the pool was calling us again!
This afternoon we went for a BBQ with Monica and Claude's family. Due to the hot weather we stayed until 6:00 until the weather was cooler and then went to the park for games and food. The photo shows the free BBQ area in the park which is a great idea. If the weather was better in England it might catch on there! By the time the food was cooked it was dark but still a balmy 25C. It was a great evening - I just love al fresco eating!
The forecast for tomorrow is 38C so it might be ice cream day.

Jenny and Kim There are free 'public BBQs' at Budleigh Salterton in Devon. We have never seen them in use though. Probably popular during the school holidays!!!!!!! Enjoy the ice-cream.
Carol Noted it was Australia Day - fed up of hearing about Australia's attempts at packing cigarettes in plain packets oh well not an issue is it. Rather unpack my shorts and join you both
Roni We noticed several public BBQs in NZ. They're a great idea.
