The weather has cooled down a lot and it was still cloudy today. We spent today relaxing, having coffee and muffins at Muffin Break and then dinner in Fremantle. The cases are packed ready for our flight tomorrow to Alice Springs. The temperature there could be 41C. Phew!! Will let you know when we arrive.

It was very 'grey' when we woke up this morning. So Monica, Vera, Sarah and I went to see Fifty Shades of it while Mick and Claude went to the cricket at the WACA. Vera is Claude's sister and Sarah is her daughter and the Silver medallist Paralympic Basketball player who we went to see in the finals. The photo is of a Jacaranda just round the corner from where we are staying. In spring the trees are covered in these purple flowers but this tree has re flowered which is supposed to mean a wet winter. But they are really pretty. We left fairly early this morning to get the 10:00 ferry to Rottnest Island situated just off the Perth coast. It was a smooth 30 minute journey. Rottnest is about 11 km long and 4.5 km at its widest point. It is owned by the government and the only people who live there have to have a full time job. We woke up this morning to s beautiful blue sky and no sign of any storms. We were supposed to be meeting someone today but they had to cancel.
