June and Mick's Retirement Trip
This morning we set off for Serpentine Dam south-East of Perth. This dam supplies the Perth area with water. The Serpentine Lake consists of two long fingers of water and flows out into the Peel River in Mandurah. By the time we arrived it was dinner time so we had a snack in the cafe and then walked down to the dam for a closer look.
We then went to the Serpentine Falls in the National Park where the water flows down into a pool where people could swim although I am not sure that I would want to!
Back at the car park we sat and watched a group of kangaroos resting under the trees. One was quite young and quite fluffy. It was so cute.
It was very hot in the park area so we had a swim in the pool when we got back to cool off. Lovely.
