We popped into the Flight Centre at the shopping centre to book some special treats at Uluru!!!!
After that we drove to Whiteman Park which is North East Perth. It is a large park and is very well maintained with several features. After a drink we went on a vintage bus tour around the park, a bit like one of the old Lodge's coaches. The guide was very informative and told us a lot about the history of the park. There is a railway line, not in use at the moment because the bushfire burnt some of the sleepers, and a tram line with vintage trams but they don't run on a Monday. We passed a mussel pool and looked round a museum.
After the bus tour Mick was very keen to look in the Motor museum where there were a lot of vintage cars. They bought back memories for him of his youth in Australia in the 1960s. I think if he could have exchanged me for a car he would have done!
