Friday morning was very cold and frosty as we left for Gatwick airport. We flew Emirates and they were very good. For once the food was tasty, hot and varied! The photo was taken flying over Turkey. I am sorry it is sideways but haven't quite discovered how to rotate because it looked fine in the camera roll.

We arrived in Perth on Saturday at 12:30 local time. It was sunny and a temperature of about 30C which will do just fine. Security at Perth airport is much stricter than London and it took a while to get through customs.

After a welcome drink and a chat it was time for a swim in the pool. The water was like a bath and I managed 20 lengths to loosen up. The local wind, the Freemantle Doctor, was a little chilly when I got out but I can put up with that.

I am now feeling relaxed and refreshed after a shower and change of clothes.
