Our last day in Busselton for the time being. Tomorrow morning we set off for Perth but are going a little bit of a scenic route rather than straight down the highway.
We had a lazy day. Maureen took us to see the Busselton community garden where people have a plot to grow things - bit like an allotment but a much smaller scale. Obviously their growing season lasts much longer than ours and some people manage to keep tomato plants growing from one year to the next.
Later we grabbed a roll and drink from Subway and ate them by the river under the shade of a tree. We watched the cormorants and ibises diving for fish.
Later still Mick and I went for a swim. The photo is the little alleyway over the dunes to the beach. We really battled to find a space to sit as there were only two other people and they were some distance away. The water was slightly warmer today so it was much easier to get into the water.
We have had a wonderful two weeks here in Busselton. It is so relaxed and calm and being beside the sea is an added bonus. After next week in Perth we fly east to Adelaide on Sunday.
Any future blogs will again depend on wifi availability but I will do my best.

Jenny and Kim We could have a Subway by the river in Witham and Chelmsford but not see the fantastic birds and our fingers would freeze without our gloves while we ate. Continue to enjoy yourselves. A change of place won't slow you down I am sure. Hope there are places to get ice-cream.
