It's Australia Day today and there are celebrations everywhere and people driving around with the Australian flag attached to their cars. Everybody is very proud of their country.
This morning we visited friends of Maureen's who bought their old house. They have turned their back garden into a vegetable plot so I was in my element! And, what a small world. This couple were originally from England and used to live in the area of South London where I was born and lived for a little while. We talked about Anerley, Crystal Palace, Penge, Norwood and Beckenham where my 'Aunt' still lives.
We have been to a BBQ to celebrate (no kangaroo steaks!). Once again we were welcomed like long lost friends and were virtually the last to leave. I am sure you will laugh at the photo of Mick and his harem in the spa!! The spa was enormous and very relaxing, we just had wrinkly fingers when we got out. I can't trust Mick anywhere can I?

Jenny and Kim We are watching the big tennis match at the moment and all is very tense in Australia. However they seem to know how to relax and enjoy themselves the rest of the time. We noticed the presence of 'glasses in the pool'. I think you had better have him on reins!!!!! I think that more that people travel we realise what a small world it is. Pleased you enjoyed your reminiscing. Perhaps we should have an England Day and hope that the weather is as kind to us as it has been to you. The snow has gone over night and we have this round thing in the sky giving out heat and light. Hopefully we can get our walking back on track again. We need to get fit having booked holidays. Chris Well, you can take him anywhere...... but you won't be able to take him back again!! :) We have some sun today - overnight rain washed all of the snow away, thank goodness! Not sure what the big shiny thing in the sky is, though........continue enjoying!!
