Hi again
Friday night at the movies! We went to the drive-in in Perth, one of only 2 left in the area. We saw Life of Pi and Parental guidance. I sat in nthe car as I didn't thikn it was warm enought to sit outside but people had got mattresses and blankets, food and drink. All the stars came out and it was brill!
Saturday we drove to Busselton a 2 and a half drive south of Perth. It is right on the coast and it is beautiful. We are staying with Mick's sister Maureen and she lives just 2 streets back from the beach. Busselton is popular now as a holiday resort and is where Mick lived for part of his time when he was out here years ago. There are some beautiful houses beside the sea and all the houses are very spacious with lots of rooms.
We visited Maureen's son who has a farm about 20 minutes drive away. The children are so much more independent than at home! They have 2 pigs, 14 head of cattle (plus a day old calf that was so cute!), a creek and a lot of land.
Mick is hoping to go out on the boat and have a go at fishing some time this week.
I did think of attaching a photo of the ice cream from Simmo's (white chocolate and maltesers!) but didn't want to make you all jealous again.
Maybe next time!!

Liz Loved all the photos, I see you have gone your usual summer colour! Snowed here all day today that very fine snow!
Carol, Mike and the girls whatever icecream parlour we find now it won't compete with yours June. Too cold anyway for icecream here. Had jam sponge and custard for pudding after a sunday roast! It all sounds wonderful keep enjoying
Jenny Are you thinking of adding pigs and cows to the allotment. You could have groups from school round to 'pet' them!!!! I was in Southend last week. The pier and sea looked great but not as welcoming as where you are with the temperature at -4C. and that was in the cafe!!! Ice-cream wasn't even thought about. The Irish pub in the town was warmer with good food and drink. Keep enjoying yourselves. Jenny
