We were up early to catch the 9:00 train along Busselton jetty. Apparently Southend pier is still the longest and not Busselton. Busselton jetty has been rebuilt because it was damaged by storms some years ago. The train ride took about 20 minutes to the end where there is an underwater world so we could see all the underwater life in the sea at the end of the jetty. It was brilliant!! We saw barnacles, coral, shoals of small fish, angel fish and a peculiar fish all in black with a mask, flippers and goggles. Look out for him in the album of pictures!
After a short walk along thge front it was lunchtine so we visited a cheese factory and shared a platter with 4 different cheeses that were produced in the factory. Delicious!
When we got back Mick and I headed for the beach - 3 minutes walk from the house. The sea was calm, clear but rather chilly. The beach was virtually empty except for us loony poms! No sharks, just a lonely black swan cygnet passed by. A super day again.
