We woke up to clouds this morning - don't all cheer! So we decided to walk to Busselton along the beach, hence the Mad dogs and Englishmen . . . It was a distance of about 5kms which was fine but the clouds did start to dissipate and by the time we arrived at the jetty we were rather in need of a beverage. As well as great ice-creams Simmo's also makes lovely milkshakes and we woofed them down.
It was quite hot by now but we meandered round the town and then back to the front for a sandwich. It was then we realised we had to walk back!! It was 2 o'clock by this time so the sun was at it's hottest. Rather than the beach we went back along the cycle path which allowed seats and a little shade in places. As soon as we arrived back it was straight in the sea to cool off and it did cool us off very quickly.
We thought we might consider our little jaunt today for the Next Scottish Society walk (some of you will know what I'm talking about!).

Jenny and Kim Great as long as we can sample some of this ice-cream you appear to be additted to. We don't have to cool down here after a walk!! We went for a walk down the lanes on Sunday and we were walking in water that covered our boots. Just give us a date.
