I haven't really done anything much today. We went to Bunbury again this morning to look at the progress in the house. The view from the balcony is amazing. Across the road are the sand dunes and then the sea which today was like a millpond and many shades of blue. If it was my house I would never tire of the view.
It was much hotter today than it has been lately and Perth was supposed to be 41C and I think here it was probably 38C. This means being inside with the air con on!
Late afternoon we went to the beach and had a swim. Think there may have been 4 other people on the beach so it was difficult to find somewhere to sit. The water is never particularly warm here but it is shallow and very sandy. I was going to take the iPad to take a photo on the beach but decided the iPad might not like the heat. So the photo is of a praying mantis I saw on the fly screen of someone's house. And talking of Australian wildlife we have just found the most enormous spider in the bathroom. I have never seen one so big but was assured it was not dangerous. And Mick came to the rescue, chased the spider round the bathroom and eventually captured it and flushed it away. Hopefully I shall now sleep peacefully!

Jenny All sounds so amazing. Mick should have let the spider live but then it might have returned!
Liz Love the sound of the beach, and house view! I saw a programme the other day where it said some spiders can float and walk on water!!!!,
Carol spiders are a definite no no
