You didn't really think that was it did you?! Apparently the trip isn't over until the kit's put away. So judging by our lounge (pictured) that should be next Thursday - so there might be more blogs...?
Woke to thick fog this morning - but it lifted in time for a celebratory breakfast in a beautiful local cafe. With energy restored it was time to go our separate ways. JT and Maz took Helen off to the railway station then off to Tewkesbury to stay with friends and Greg and I climbed aboard the Mothership and headed for home. We had two stops before we could really get going. Our first was to drop a signed running vest, with our exploits detailed on it, into the local pub to put on their ceiling. The second was a final rendezvous with Tomo to pick up a cheque and a lovely present. Can't tell you what it was because JT doesn't have his yet - but once again Tomo - thank you.
We finally left Cornwall around 1.00 and headed for home. As we turned into our road around 7.30 I said to Greg - they haven't got any flags up then - no he said - but they do have balloons! And there on the doorstep were family, neighbours and friends. Champagne and poppers, banners and balloons. What a great welcome. And how wonderful to have so many hands to help us unload - magic. Sue wants to be sponsored for putting it all away : ) Many many thanks for all your comments and support - hope you will all buy the book which we will get out as soon as possible - maybe after a lie down. Or two. Hmmm real bed....
