A mixed day today. We had already decided to take it easy and use this as a rest day. So when we woke to blue sky and the promise of 19c (as opposed to -1.2c yesterday) all looked fine and dandy. A lazy run along the full length of Loch Lomond. Our first section was 11 miles and in our second (while Greg cycled 70k) we covered 12. But towards the end of this section which was mostly up hill the pain in the top of my foot re-occurred. It was bearable, but by the time we left for the last 6 miles it was impossible to run. Which as it happened - so was the road! Mad traffic on a dual carriageway with no hard shoulder. We had to use the rough verge, so were reduced to walking, and Greg couldn't meet us at the 30 because it was impossible to park, so we settled on 28.2 miles which with the mile in hand we have already built up means we are .8 of a mile down tonight! Not really a problem. We will look at the maps tonight and see if there is an alternative route for tomorrow.
After standing up to a certain place in Loch Lomond to reduce swelling (it works!) physio Nick rang with advice for the foot. The book says rest!!! The alternative is lots of ice and don't run hills for a while (sounds good to me!)
On a positive note - Greg raised £20 in a cafe and JT hired Greg's spanner out for £5 - to a cyclist in distress.
It was a beautiful day and we are very grateful. Tomorrow we hit Glasgow and some very tricky navigation.

Kyara Hola!! Well done both of you. Sorry I didn't communicate earlier. I feel I fully recovered for the London Marathon only today (10 days after). So, believe me you have all my respect, I wonder how you would avoid running hills over there. I don't remember seeing Scotland very flat. Saludos. B-)
