What a wonderful evening with Maz, her friend Barbara and Husband Mike (not Maz's husband Mike, Maz's husband is John - who has been running from John O'Groats to Land's End - which is a coincidence because so have I - but Barbara's husband Mike. You remember Barbara she is Maz's friend!)
Suffice to say we enjoyed a lovely meal with plenty of pudding and drink and Barbara's husband (not Maz's) Mike very kindly and most generously treated us all - he also paid for the dinner! Sincere thanks Mike.
So back to business... What a glorious morning and it just got better. The sun shone, the A49 was no where near as bad as we thought it would be. Ludlow has to be the most lovely town in the country (so far) and it had a festival on this weekend, so it was full of very happy people (especially John, Hazel, Chris and Maggie who where particularly friendly and donated to our cause) and then to top it all we got beeped and waved at by a people carrier (as we climbed out of town) that stopped a few hundred yards further down the road - and out jumped Martyn Longstaff in full Blackheath Kit all ready to run with us to our next stop about 4 miles up the road where his daughter Vicki and 4 grandchildren were waiting for us. It was great to have another Harrier to run with and to meet the whole family. We left Greg talking to a group of local cyclists who were taking part in a time trial race from the lay-by we were parked in and headed off into the sunshine once again. At our last stop of the day in a lay-by 6 miles from our campsite we were just in the van when there was a knock on the door and Mike Peel climbed in swiftly followed by Terri. It was a complete surprise and so wonderful to see more club mates. Mike just happened to have his kit with him so finished off the day with us running to the campsite with Terri driving backwards and forwards stopping in lay-bys to take photos. What a great end to the day. And it got better because Mike and Terri have decided to stay at the bed and breakfast on our site and we are all going out for a meal tonight. I'm really getting to like this running lark.
Big celebration tonight - 600 miles run and only 260 to go. I know I've said it before but WooHoo.

Seb I wouln't even want to drive 600 miles. You really are off your heads but I am full of admiration. I would like to write something pithy and witty but the enormity of what you are doing deserves better than that. Amazing darlings
Steve Forsdick Just caught up on your tales after a few very busy days. Passed halfway and nearly 3/4 done! Well done chaps keep it up!
