A tale of two Bridges! A great great day. We have finally crossed the Severn Bridge and turned right. What a moment : ) hard to explain what it feels like to have reached this point.
The pic is of The Right Turn!
There was very little wind on the bridge but as soon as we were back in Blighty the wind was strong and in our faces.
We struggled for a while to the break then looked for an alternative route that was quieter, more sheltered and as it turns out far more scenic. Our final rest was just past Bristol Zoo. It was then just a short run to the finish down under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and some delicate navigation of main road intersections to Yanley.
At our final stop of the night we met a cyclist - David Plester - struggling with a flat tyre. He swapped a final day photo with the ball balanced on his bike for the loan of a pair of pliers! Which he hurriedly returned as his wife turned up having driven 8 miles through rush hour traffic with a pair of pliers from home!
Nick has a room booked in a local hotel just 5 mins down the road so we are off to celebrate with a bottle of champagne, a bath, a massage, and a lovely meal.
End to a perfect day.

Bernie Out of alien territory at last. I think it's downhill from now on!
Lennard A champagne well deserved!!
Richard Griffin You are doing tremendously. Dave King and I ran the Halstead Marathon yesterday, it was really strange doing that without you two being with us! Anyway all the best you have almost done it.
Seb Why were you carrying a pair of pliers (yes - that's how it is spelt... public school education!) or are they a sort of baton?
Ann W So glad you are making such good progress Looking forward to the nxt instalment!
Antonio Cheers, nice to there are some gud guys here to support Sanath. Some guys are tankilg like donkeys. they dont kno about Sanath. He was the No 1 batsman & he was the most successful captain in Sri lanka. Am i right??? so just think about that he was a worrier for last decade he sometimes fighted alone to protect our team from loses so now they are not tankilg about that.i dnt like the captancy of Sanga(only wat i see) eventhou he handles the pressure when he is batting he cant handdle the pressure when he is in the field & he doesnt like to get others support. AS A CAPTAIN he has to get 100% from others not only performences the ideas too i havent seen much that hes tankilg with others when hes arranging the feild mostly with Sanath he doesnt talk with him he can have some gud ideas with Sanath.no point of tankilg with him he will retire when he want as he did with his captancy so now we have to cheer our players to the victory in this USA tournament so we'll support our team no more arguments ok guys.. this is our team we cant change it now so come on all now we'll blow out kiwis this tym hope Sana will come to his blastering form again with Dilshan Go SL GO .
