After 23 hours awake we had caught a train, two planes and a bus and feel into our bed of a little French hotel close to St Gare railway station. Swiss Air, great service, staff and food, thumbs up beat Lufthansa for friendliness by a country mile. Zurich airport great transit very efficient, we only have 40 minutes and immigration was so quick. A good sleep with the help of a 1/2 sleeping pill at 2.30 am to get me back to sleep and a couple of caffeine fixes this morning - back on the cafe noisette's - espresso with a blob of milk - a almond crossaint to die for and we are off into Italy in an hour. We woke to thunders storms and rain - wow did we come all this way for this!!! Being back in France feels comfortable with a certain amount of familiaralty. My understanding of the launguage seems better after listening to our Micheal Thomas recordings. I was able to speak in French to get the train tickets, breakfast and the French people really appreciate it when you try - they will reply in English sometimes. Hey the sun's come out and we are off.
