We had a fantastic flight, Pascal loved being in Premium Economy - never wants to go further back again, it was quiet, the food was good its a great class of travel, the seats where outstanding and, I slept for about 6 hours and Rod had a great sleep too.
Houston Airport - what a difference to LAX - you are treated as visitors not Aliens!!! The immigration person actually had a conversation with us - well she didn't have a choice with Rod - but once she started chatting she wouldn't stop, I could feel the queue thinking shut up and get on with your job ha ha - anyway the yanks let the 3 of us across their boarder. Houston, Texas here we are and EVERYTHING is BIG, roads, cars, people, drinks, food....... We have less than 24 hours and opted to stay at an airport property - it was fine, a fizzer being Christmas day - we went for what started out being a short walk and ended up 8km's and found nothing open, we were over it by the time we got back and it was boring scenery bit like walking around Penrose - actually thats probably more interesting.
Jeremy our new best friend the shuttle driver suggested he take us to a place for a couple of drinks and something to eat - mmmm Rod jumped at that always hungry!! So off we went to "The Oyster Bar" so you can imagine Pascal was bouncing off the wall with images of oysters on ice, tequila shooters and fun fun fun. These images couldn't have been further from what we experienced it was at hilarious place, they couldn't understand us at all!!! We were the only Gringos in the place, no oysters on ice, I'll leave it there...........
