Finally on the road yipeeee this is so exciting for me. A huge challenge and adventure. We knocked off 53kms today like a walk in the park, it we hadn't stopped for over an hour for lunch we would have been here in the morning. It was really difficult when planning as we didnt know how many km's we would be able to acheive in a day. I think we have underestimated ourselves. Tomorrow we have a 70km ride so that will be a longer day for sure. The scenery was truely magical, beautiful forest was stunning. A stop in Creon for a baguette, a discovered pastel de nata, we chilled out shade munching away on our lunch, happy as sandboys. Pascal was having a ball sitting right up front. I am just loving it. The bikes are fantastic, these 29ers just roll and roll, much more comfortable than crosstail bikes we were originally had planned to get. Tonight we are going to have a set dinner here - mmmm with their own wine - should be great. Its 6pm and we have totally recovered from our ride - roll on tomorrow. I think we will be having a great sleep in the wonderful bed, a beautiful room.
