Our time with Eric & Carol has been an amazing experience with a French family, there has been cheese and cheese and more cheese, so much laughter, wine and my french has really improved. Eric has been saying I have a great french accent - mmm not sure about that but it does give me encouragement. Its funny how we teach each other, I speak in French/English to he and he speaks English/French to me and we all learn, by the end of the 12 days we have all improved...

Today I spent 4 hours with what you could call an inside water blaster, with a difference. It's a steam cleaner OMG I want one.   It cleaned the wall tiles up beautifully so I thought might as well wash all the draws and cupboards – mmm well they weren't dark brown in colour after all but a beautiful golden colour, it ripped all the black built up grease and grim off them with hardly any effort, it cleans, curtains, floors amazing amazing its mad...

Slow start to the day, the French eat so late we were having dinner at 10pm last night so no surprise we didn't wake until 8am this morning, the last thing I wanted was Breakfast.   We got a few things sorted with Carol and Eric for our little apartment, my first job is to clean the kitchen area, its recently been painted throughout and the bathroom is all new, we have a brand new bed. As you know the French love to have lunch so that was next on the list...

We woke with the attitude of lets get our bikes today and see how things go, our hosts have guests departing and more arriving for their holiday home rental. They don't need us as they have two daughters who work cleaning and getting the house ready. So... why not off we go to Decathlon a big sport shop that has bikes, well not the bikes for us they were cheap bikes and Pascal said no way am I riding one of those for 600km's it will just fall apart.  S...
