Our last couple of days in France were wonderfully spent with Nicolas & Elodie and their families. We had a lovely dinner with them in Annecy the night we flew back from Dubrovnik, funny how everything in France is familiar, we had got use to all the systems, the language etc.  

Sunday was spent at Nicolas parents who cooked and great BBQ lunch and I learnt a new raw carrot dish that I can't wait to do when I'm back home. We swam in the pool, laid in the sun and Rod & Nicolas had a major Petanque competition, it was hilarious they were soooo competitive and Nicolas has picked up an expression from the time they lived in Christchurch for a year "Holy s*** Rod - I am usually good at this." Rod won 3-1 and was laughing the whole time as its the French game and I nick named him The Spin Black & Nicolas the Spin Frog. So I finally got a sun fix lounging around by a pool in the sun, it was hot - the sun in Europe doesn't burn its more like our late afternoon sun all day long. Great times come to an end and as the sun goes down we head back to their home to pack our bags and have an early night as we are flying home tomorrow.
