Wel, we have been in Brisbane for 12 weeks now and we only have 7 weeks left of work and of being in Brisbane - time gone fast but count down until the end of work - and then full on travelling begins - wooohooo!!

Weather is pretty hot and muggy here now - lucky we have a ceiling fan in our room as we have to sleep with it on as it's boiling!

On Friday night we had a bbq - well only Iain & Octtavio ate of it as the bbq was covered in mice(or rat droppings) so there was no way i was eating of it- the oven did it's job for me but they cleaned the bbq and ate of it!!

We went out to the Valley with Nadine, Octtavio, Catriona & Alan (all from our flat) and Damien, Rebecca and her boyfriend ( new couple from Wigan that has just moved in) The New Zealand couple didn't come out as Craig was in emergency with an appendicitus which he had removed!

It was the Valley Fiesta where there is live music on outside stages etc and the roads are closed - we missed the live music so went to a bar for some drinks (the shots were 3x as big as normal - he, he!!

We then tried to get into a club that had been recommended to Iain but they wouldn't let 1 of our grouo as he wasn't dressed "trendy enough" (not me or Iain) but such a cheeky bouncer - its not like the Ozzies are the trendiest of people!!

So we just went to a bar called Mustags which has good music and a big dance floor ( a little sticki tho!!)

It was a good night - as i brought not a single item of going out clothes - zilch (can u believe it!) i had Nadine's skirt & bag and i got a top for $5 at the market and then realised when i got home that it was stained but wore it anyway!!

Saturday we just chilled and did some shopping and i was ill at night as i cut my finger and got it infected but all is good now!

This morning we did the Southbank 10km which was a big race with a Kenyan winning it in 30mins but Iain did amazingly well and came in at 45mins 10secs and i was v.dissapointed at 51mins 01secs(left the UK on 48mins and seemto be getting slower!) I put it down to the heat as it was sweltering - 22 degrees at 7:30am!!

Today we went to the City Botanics allday with a picnic and sunbathed with huge ice-creams (food is huge over here like the USA) and i made a roast dinner for tea with home made pancakes for pud - mmm!!

Anyway back to work 2morro for another week - oh and we have booked to go away for the weekend of Iain's birthday to Moreton Island - Tangalooma wild dolphin resort. U get to hand feed wild dolphone at night and there's lots to do like Quad biking,snorkeling, sand tabboganing etc so it should be good!
