Hello, hello!

We have good news - we both have jobs! I started the 2 days work of reception and it's not too bad, just taking calls and i am allowed to play about on the internet in between answering the phone - great!

Iain got a 3month contract for Brisbane City Council in the drainage/plumbing department starting today at $24/hr which is good! He's very chuffed - no clue what he will be doing but i am sure he will blog it soon!

I got an ongoing contract starting on Monday at another Law Firm doing admin work in the banking/finance department so hopefully it will last for 3months and it's $21/hr.

Both of us will be working in the city just a few streets away from each other so really handy to get to from where we're staying and work 08:30-5:00 (4:30pm for Iain - lucky sod!)All the long days of job searching and 3 hours a time registering at agencies was worthwhile!

We get paid weekly so not long to go and can't wait so we can start doing sightseeing trips at weekends and pay off the money we had to use on our Visa and we finally got our savings thru from the UK to our Oz account - happy days!
