Anna woke up again at 530am feeling cold and no one really got back to sleep again afterwards. We all stayed in bed until 830am and then I got up and made us coffee before heading into town to the launderette. I was the only there this morning and by the time I got home the sun was out and there was a hot wind. Nick helped hang out the washing and it was almost dry by the time we'd finished. We got the kids ready to begin school but then started chatting to a lovely couple from Victoria and before we knew it, it was lunchtime! After that school became a struggle for the boys. Katharine had very sensibly started her work load before breakfast and was all finished, so then helped Anna do her work. After lunch we walked into town and grabbed an ice cream on our way to the park. The local kids soon joined us and they all played 'Tag' for the afternoon. Kai ended up walking home with us again and helped us collect more wood. At one point he and Katharine disappeared off to his farm and this time came back with the goat and two dogs!! We had dinner around the campfire again and then everyone had to have a shower and wash hair while we had a water supply, as tomorrow we move on and will be travelling for the next four days.
