We all had another great night's sleep despite it being very cold again this morning. Nick got up and lit a fire and we all had breakfast sitting around it. By the time we had finished the sun had warmed up and we could let the fire go out. We spent the morning doing schoolwork and it flowed beautifully so the early night last night was worth it. After lunch we walked into town and bought an ice cream then walked up to the skate park. The kids have become quite well known in town and have made friends with the local kids, so when we went into the shop for our ice cream they were all given free lollies!! We also agreed to meet a couple of the kids at the skate park. One of the kids, Kai, turned up with his baby goat (only 1 week old) and his dog in toe, which Anna and Katharine soon adopted as their own! The kids wanted to move from the skate park to the playground and Kai took them all on his home made cart, which the boys loved and plan to copy as soon as we have a fixed address! Kai ended up coming back to the van with us and we took him for a walk through the bush using his cart to collect firewood on. We spent the evening sitting around the fire having dinner and only came in when we'd burnt through all our wood!
