We were all feeling the need for a day of rest after such a busy week of sightseeing. There was no rush to get out of bed and so by the time we eventually surfaced the sun was shining and it was another beautiful day in Queensland. Breakfast was a long drawn out affair as the kids all wanted toast, which takes forever under our gas grill, but once we were finished we got stuck into schoolwork. We thought the kids would struggle today, as it had been a while since we last hit the books but they weren't too bad. We covered quite a lot of work and finished at lunchtime. After something to eat we headed into Canungra, the nearest town, to do some laundry. While we were waiting for it we got a coffee (as we can't use the generator until 5 pm!) and the kids had a play in the park. We spent the rest of the afternoon back at the camp. Nick lit a fire and I sat and read while he played soccer with the kids. Another family arrived with children of a similar age and Jonny and Anna soon peeled off to play with them instead. As it got dark we had dinner and showers. Katharine spent most of the evening face timing her cousin while the others played with Lego - our best purchase to date!!
