Nick woke once in the night hearing something big outside moving around but the rest of us slept well and woke up around 8am. When we finally went outside we found out it had been cows wondering around outside the caravan and there were a few cow pats on the road beside us! We had a very slow breakfast and a few campers commented on the fact that I was still in my pj's at 930am! We spent the morning doing schoolwork and the kids did really well considering we have had a few weeks off. After lunch we sat and read for a while before heading into town for some groceries and another play in the park. We also called into the council and extended our stay until Monday. We dropped off the food at the van then went for a long walk along the river. The kids collected sticks for a fire and on the way back we had a chat with a group of Victorians who drive up here for three months every year and have been doing so for the last 13 years. There were about 30 of them all up, all with dogs, so the kids cuddled the dogs and talked ten to the dozen and the Victorians made us promise not to leave a child behind! Back at the van we built up a fire and roasted marshmallows then had sausages in a bun for dinner. We had just finished when it started to rain and huge heavy drops put our fire out so we had to move inside and spent the evening watching a movie. Before bed the kids had a shower and a tick check after climbing around in the scrub all day collecting wood!
