We all had a fantastic nights sleep as it was so quiet with only the odd 'moo' from a passing cow to disturb the peace. Unfortunately the boys woke up early around 5 from the cold and they did their best to wake up everyone else. By 730 am we were having our first cup of coffee in the sunshine looking at a stunning view! Tallis appeared as soon as we opened the caravan door and he stayed with us all day. Nick tried another game of cricket with the kids but again it didn't last long so he came in and made everyone breakfast instead. The kids were quite keen to start schoolwork today and rushed Nick and I before we were ready - it back fired as we made them do a longer session! After lunch we headed back into Queensland and walked along the river in Stanthorpe. There were lots of Water Dragons sunbathing along the river and the kids had lots of fun jumping across the water on large boulders. We picked up some groceries on the way home and then went off to explore Undercliff Falls back in NSW but there was no real track to the falls, just a steep drop, so we headed home instead. Back at the camp we lit the fire and had a relax then had dinner around the campfire while watching the sunset. Tonight it was beef pie, mash and peas - great campfire food!! We toasted marshmallows for dessert and then Annie, Nick and I sat and watched the stars while the others sat inside watching TV. It's much colder here then we thought it would be and it doesn't look like it's going to warm up any time soon so after showers we all climbed back into our winter pj's and went to bed with hot water bottles!! Perhaps we should have lingered in Queensland for another month!!
