Another 2 nights on passage one old favourite at Älö very windy day and night but we never moved, our anchor working well. On route we were lucky to see 2 huge Eagles. Now we are on the homeward leg of this years voyages we are again plagued by SW winds the direction we need to go, this makes for hard days so we are keeping the distances manageable. Tonight's anchorage is the last Nature harbour in the Archipelago, on route the islands have been getting smaller with a lot of rocks and reefs just under the water. About 11.00 this morning we spotted a motor yacht ( gin Palace ) stationary in the distance. As we closed it became apparent that it was not in the fairway but on the rocks. There was nobody (alive) on board so I suspect it ran aground in yesterday's rain and strong wind. Looking at it he's gone between 2 red markers instead of the red and green. The boat looked in good condition but I expect it is holed under the waterline. Hopefully the lifeboats got the people off ok. Even when we hit a rock a 1/2 a knot we noticed it with cups of tea getting spilt. These boats can be going up to 30 knots and to stop suddenly is going to throw everyone about. We had some huge gusts today, while putting in 2 reefs in the main sail we had a lazy Jack bag line snap so the sail fell down the line was flogging and caught our flag pole pulling it out but luckily we got it before it went in.
