We did not expect to be here, I had looked at the charts and had thought we could head up to the canal without coming up this high but on closer inspection last night I spotted a bridge with only 15 M clearance, we need at least 18.5 M so we had to come up past it. We are in port waiting!! A gale is coming through tonight,over 40 knots expected so rather than sit in an anchorage hoping that our anchor holds, tied up in a nice safe Marina looked the best option. Been out walking in a lot better weather than expected.
