Vadstena is a town that formed in the 1300 s around a convent. The castle was built by King Gustav Vasa and later converted to a palace. We moored in the moat, a first for us. Vadstena is only 8 m from Motala giving us a nice small sail with our motor boat friends, after a night we decided to sail back to Motala so we could watch England crash out of the euros. We had a good sail in flat waters, Dennis enjoyed the trip, helming most of the way. Gill is still apprehensive about sailing.
