Simrishamn is a medieval town and has a large harbour, it's the ultimate transit port. It lies on the edge of the Hano Banken (the Swedish bay of biscay) a bay of some 50 odd NM across, often with bad weather. Last year we crossed it direct to unclippen but this year with no wind forecast we are going to go round past Hano to a natural harbour called Tärno a distance of 40 NM

29 NM today to the medieval town of Simrishamn. Very sunny and warm, not much wind today, only about one hour sailing, on the engine most of the afternoon. It was just a case of following the coast round and not crashing into anything solid. If the wind does as expected we shall cross over to Utklippan tomorrow.
