We have become Grandparents this year to little Charles George so after being somewhat distracted we have now booked our Ferry leaving on the 20th. It's about a 700 mile drive back to the boat, we are driving over as we have got so much stuff to take. On the boat front we have to have a survey this year for the insurance company, also we are having a new Genoa sail made so fingers crossed that these have been done. We expect to be out sailing by the start of June...

In Dover leaving at 12.00 for dunkerque France. Not the greatest stopover but it's the best starting point for France for us. wifi and electric included in marina fees. Boat all working well, we enjoyed 2 days off sunny downwind sailing from the Solent.

Arrived in Eastbourne after a great downwind run max wind F6, F5 most of the day and sunshine. Av Speed 7.4 kns gps speed. Top over the ground speed 11.2 kns. Low pressure front just arriving so may be here for a couple of days.

Storm bound still in Bembridge F 8 gusts forecast for today. A good day spent walking up on the cliffs.

Not Eastbourne as planned, but still in the Solent. We left in a gusty f4 f5 our autopilot was not able to keep up, so after talking to the engineer we have re set it, then spent the afternoon testing it. All looking good. A full day of rain tomorrow so it looks like Thursday will be the best day to head to Eastbourne.
