Back in Sandhamn after a 13 hour 81 nm sail from Bornholm, the weather was good with a nice F5/6 blowing from the west as the day went on it went south so we were being rolled about a bit in the big following seas. 22 NM today, a tale of two parts the first 15nm we could not stop the boat charging, we were reefed right down and still doing over 7 knots the next 7 NM were under engine straight into the wind we were just making 2 knots and getting water in our faces every few waves. We arrived to find people ashore sunbathing, we were in full wet weather gear. 45 miles to go, 2 days to do it in so I think we are on track.

Only 11 NM from Utklippan we felt the need for a short trip the wind was quite strong 30.5 knots being the largest of the gusts so we sailed only on the Genoa making 9.2 knots at one point. I made a bit of a hash of leaving almost getting blown off with Brenda still ashore with a bit of help from another crew we got away ok ( still got stuff to learn ).
