Saturday 20 February
I wake up with a worse throat and a voice that's disturbed. I get some of Hannah's gifts ready- the shower curtain I'm going to rehang for her and email a book she's been wanting. The others will have to wait till later. I'm feeling rotten but a bit better after eating. I out some sparkling grape juice in the fridge to chill. Hannah talks to her family and later we head out to the church. We are a bit list as to where it is but run into Tammy who points us in the right direction. We sit right up the front. We soon have an attachment of children with us. The singing is amazing. I don't understand much else. The offering is collected by getting out if your seat and placing money or envelopes in two massive boxes in the isle. Nearly a metre high. Reminded me of old time temple collections. A few ppl speak to us after church. One kind lady lent us her hymn book. We stop and see violet and Mohammad on our way back. After a short visit we continue home to eat and prepare rice for the hospital girl. Hannah stays and has lunch with them. We just rest in the afternoon. My throat stops me from falling asleep. About 5:30 we go to collect Ashley from Arusha and then go to sable square. We just make it to the store before it closes. Dinner is lovely and once home we bake and prepare for tomorrow and then eat cake, drink sparkling grape juice and open presents. Now it's very late!
